The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium plays host to an intriguing Premier League clash on Saturday afternoon as Tottenham takes on Everton.
Tottenham vs Everton Betting Tips: BTTS and Over 2.5
Everton arrive in London currently enjoying their best run of form in years with seven wins in their last nine EPL matches including each of the last four. Despite receiving a ten-point deduction, the Toffees sit 16th in the division, seven points clear of the drop zone. Without the loss of those ten points, Everton would currently occupy ninth place.
On their travels, Sean Dyche´s side have been especially impressive in recent weeks, picking up wins in five of their last six on the road in the EPL including a 1:0 at West Ham on their last visit to London.
Of course, the Toffees can expect a particularly stiff challenge this weekend with Spurs boosted by back-to-back wins against Newcastle and Nottingham Forest in the past fortnight. At the TH Stadium, Spurs had lost three in a row before their much-needed win against the Magpies. After a sensational early start to the season saw them lead the Premier League , Postecoglu´s side now sit fifth in the division but only six points behind leaders and great rivals Arsenal.
Defensive issues have been the main concern for Spurs in recent weeks and the hosts have only managed one clean sheet in their last seven at home. Six of those matches saw BTTS and considering Everton´s superb form, we should expect something similar on Saturday. In fact, only three of Tottenham's last 14 home EPL matches did not see BTTS and Over 2.5 goals scored while each of the last four saw both outcomes.
While Everton don´t have the greatest of records at this ground, Dyche seems to have his side now operating at a much higher level than in seasons gone by. Given those improvements, and Spurs penchant for a high-scoring home fixture, I fancy BTTS and over 2.5 goals scored this festive weekend.
