Swansea City will be looking for what will be their second win in nine games when they play host to Preston North End on Friday night.
Swansea were widely applauded for their tenth-place finish last season, but the Swans have been unable to build on that. The biggest weakness of Michael Duff's side this season has been their home record. They have won four away games this season but have only picked up two wins at home, something that needs to change.
Preston meanwhile have improved greatly compared to last season. Ryan Lowe's side are four places higher than where they finished the 2022-23 season, and they have their away form to thank for that. Four of the Lilywhites' six wins this season have come away from home, so they will fancy their chances of coming away with a win on Friday.
Swansea vs Preston Betting Tips: Both teams to score
Swansea City’s defence has been all over the place in recent weeks. Alan Sheehan's side enter Friday's game with a run of seven consecutive games without a clean sheet and conceded at least two goals in four of those fixtures. The good thing is that they scored in all seven matches.
Preston can’t boast of a good defence either. The visitors have conceded more goals than any other team in the top nine and have gone just one of their last seventeen games without conceding. Both teams scored in half of the eight away games played in this period.

Swansea team news
Nathan Wood will again be unavailable to Swansea City head coach Alan Sheehan this week through injury.
Wood has been out since September with a back injury and Friday's game comes too soon for him, but the defender is the hosts' only injury concern.
Liam Cullen and Harry Darling have already been cautioned four times this season, so another yellow card here will result in a one-match ban.

Preston team news
Preston North End have four players at risk of suspension. Liam Lindsay, Duane Holmes, Ryan Ledson and Alan Browne have already been cautioned four times this season.
Ched Evans will miss out through injury, but the striker is the visitors' only injury concern ahead of the trip to Swansea.
Head coach Ryan Lowe is expected to make a number of changes from the side that squandered a one-goal lead against Watford last time out.
Ched Evans and Duane Holmes will be hoping to benefit from this reshuffle after only featuring as substitutes last time out.
