Despite no longer being in contention to qualify for the UCL knockout phase, this fixture takes on plenty of importance with a Europa League spot at stake. 

While a draw could leave both teams needing something from their final fixtures against RB Leipzig and Man City respectively, both teams know a win on Tuesday would secure their place in European competition after Christmas.

It has been a tough campaign for both of these sides with both claiming just a point from four UCL fixtures after their 2:2 share of the spoils in Belgrade in October. 

Despite struggling for points in this section, both teams have been competitive while consistently delivering in our favoured goal markets. Young Boys saw over 2.5 goals scored in each of their last five UCL matches including a 3:1 loss to Man City in their last match at the Wankdorf. Three of their last four also saw BTTS.

Going back a little further, Young Boys' home UCL games have been remarkably reliable for goal chasers. Since 2018, each of the Swiss champions' last 12 home UCL matches saw over 2.5 goals scored while 11 of those saw BTTS. 

Likewise, Red Star, despite failing to win any of their last six matches, have consistently delivered in the goal markets. The Serbs have seen BTTS and over 2.5 goals in their last five UCL contests including each of their last three on the road. 

Given those numbers, we can be confident we should see over 2.5 goals at least, while BTTS also looks like a particularly solid selection.
