Manchester United won their sixth ELC Cup against Newcastle United 2:0 at Wembley. That is their first trophy under Erik Ten Hag, and they will meet West Ham in another Cup game, this time in the FA Cup 1/8 finals. 

Manchester United have improved enormously under Erik Ten Hag since the last season. They added the right pieces, but there seems to be a real connection since the end of January. In the previous ten games, they won eight and drew two. 

West Ham are coming to this game after a superb 4:0 win over Nottingham Forest. They were excellent and could have easily scored a couple more goals. 

Over the course of the season, they have struggled and were constantly on the verge of the relegation zone. They are still just two points away from relegation, but there are signs of significant improvement. This season they frequently struggled offensively and have scored just 23 goals in 24 Premier League matches. But they could have that fixed by adding Danny Ings from Aston Villa. 

Manchester United vs West Ham pick: Over 2.5 goals

Manchester United have been superb offensively in the last 11 matches. Each of those games has seen them score at least two goals! At home, Manchester United went ten times over 2.5 goals in the previous 12 matches.

West Ham will be full of confidence after scoring four goals against Nottingham Forrest. There has been at least one goal scored by the Hammers in four of their last five games across all competitions.
