An entertaining FA Cup contest is expected this weekend with both teams producing consistently high numbers in the goal markets this season.

Hosts Notts County, currently sixth in League Two have seen over 3.5 goals scored in four of their last six matches while 12 of their last 13 home matches saw at least three goals scored. In addition, County saw BTTS and over 2.5 goals in 11 of those 13 matches while eight of those matches also saw over 3.5 goals netted.

Visiting Shrewsbury have also produced some fairly consistent numbers on our favoured goal markets this season. Currently 12th in League One, the away side have seen over 2.5 goals scored in four of their last five matches with three of those also seeing BTTS. 

Unfortunately, the Shrews have not proved a reliable force away from home this season. Surprisingly, the visitors have failed to score in eight of their last nine away matches. Seven of those games resulted in defeat. However, Matt Taylor´s side have seen BTTS and over 2.5 goals scored in their last seven FA Cup ties over the past two years.

Ultimately, we should expect goals in this contest so the over 2.5 goal selection is my preferred pick for Friday´s FA Cup contest. In addition, with the Shrews in such poor away form, don´t be surprised if County see their way into the lucrative third round.
