Without a goal or win in their previous three matches, Real Sociedad will be desperate to return to winning form in La Liga when they take on Espanyol at the RCDE Stadium. 

Still third in the division with 39 points collected through 20 matches, the visitors remain well in the hunt for a surprise Champions League qualification position, with the away side boasting a seven-point advantage on 5th-placed Rayo.

Hosts Espanyol, while just two points above the relegation place, are a tough side to beat at the RCDE Stadium with just one loss in their last seven league matches.

Sociedad makes the journey south from San Sebastian somewhat hit by injury, with several first-team players expected to miss out.
