Union Berlin complete their Champions League adventure when they host Real Madrid at the Olympiastadion on Tuesday.

Despite enduring a club-record run of losses during the past few months, Union comes into Tuesday's match with some hope of still qualifying for the Europa League playoffs. While bottom of the table with four points from five matches completed, the Berliners could yet sneak into third if they claim a win at the Olympiastadion and Napoli beat Braga in Naples. 

While that might seem like a tall order, Union hopes could be boosted by a likely weakened Real lineup with the visitors already safely qualified as group winners. 

Union will also take hope from having finally broken their long wait for victory with a 3:1 win against Monchengladbach on Saturday. Die Eisernen had failed to win any of their previous 16 matches, of which they had lost all but three. 

Real makes the journey to Germany after a 1:1 draw with Real Betis on Saturday. Los Merengues are now unbeaten in 14 matches since a 3:1 defeat against old rivals Atletico Madrid in September.

On their travels, Real have seen BTTS in 5 of their last 6 matches and I expect that pattern to extend on Tuesday with the visitors likely to be under-strength for this fixture. Union will surely concede - they have not kept a clean sheet in any of their last 19 matches while the Spaniards will still field a comparatively strong selection.

Given Union´s need for the points, and Real´s weakened selection, the hosts do offer plenty of value to take a positive result while the BTTS pick looks a secure one.
