- Venue: London Stadium (London)
Last year, West Ham had a poor season in the Premier League, as they finished 14th. However, they were great in Europe, winning the Europe Conference League title and securing the Europa League appearance through it. This season, the Hammers are once again doing great in Europe, and with the latest win (2:0) over Freiburg, they secured the 1/8 Finals of the competition and are one of the favorites to win the title. Also, in the Premier League, West Ham are solid and are currently 9th with 24 points in 16 games, five points away from their next opponent, Wolves.
Since returning to the Premier League in the 2018/19 season, Wolves have been one of the more stable teams, consistently finishing between 7th and 13th place, not even remotely close to relegation. This season, Wolves started the competition poorly, and the main reason for it was the departure of two key midfielders, Matheus Nunes and Ruben Neves. Still, after that bad start, they started playing better and are now in 13th place with 19 points in 16 rounds. Even though it is still early, we predict they will once again be around the middle of the league's table.
West Ham vs Wolves pick: West Ham to win
If we exclude that unexpected 5:0 loss to Fulham, West Ham had an excellent month and a half, winning six of eight matches in all competitions. However, according to speculations, many players got sick before that Fulham game, and that is the primary reason for such a poor result.
At London Stadium, the Hammers were solid, winning seven of 11 games (63.6%) in all competitions, but their results in the Premier League could have been better, and that is surely something they will focus on.
Wolves won only four points in the last four games, and all of those points came at home. Wolves generally struggle away from home, as they lost five of eight Premier League road games - 62.5%. Still, that is hardly a surprise since they had a very similar percentage last season as well.
In the previous three h2h games at London Stadium, West Ham absolutely dominated Wolves, winning all three games with a combined goal difference of 7:0! Considering the previous h2h games and everything above, we believe that the Hammers should win the upcoming match.

West Ham team news
After a 2:0 win over Freiburg, coach David Moyes spoke to the media. He was satisfied and said it was important for them to secure first place in the group because they did not want to play two extra games in the knockout phase of the Europa League. The coach also had high praises for Edson Alvarez, who scored and assisted once but eventually had to leave the field due to a minor injury. Still, it was nothing serious, and the 26-year-old Mexican should be ready for the upcoming game.
The only injured player for this match should be Michail Antonio. The 33-year-old Jamaican suffered a knee injury while playing for his national team and should remain sidelined for at least one or two weeks.

Wolves team news
A key midfielder, Mario Lemina, suffered a knee injury in the previous game vs Nottingham and had to leave the field. According to coach Gary O'Neil, the injury is not too serious, but we do not expect him against West Ham.
Joseph Hodge and Pedro Neto, who missed the previous games with injuries, will remain sidelined, while Rayan Ait Nouri should be ready after missing the previous three games with an ankle injury.
