An intriguing contest is expected on Tuesday as Burnley, boosted by a fine win at Fulham return to home comforts to take on title-chasing Liverpool. Having endured a miserable seven game losing run between October and November, the Clarets have had a better December with seven points collected from their last five matches. 

After a stunning 5:0 win against Sheffield United, Vinceny Kompany's men also managed to pick up a point at Brighton before their surprise win at Craven Cottage on Saturday. 

Still, Burnley's home form has been a massive issue since their return to England´s top flight. Other than the high-scoring win against the Blades, the Clarets have failed to pick up any further points with eight defeats suffered at home this season. Kompany´s side leaked 22 goals in those eight losses. 

Liverpool come into this contest having been held to a 1:1 draw with Arsenal at Anfield on Saturday. Jurgen Klopp´s side have now dropped points in their last two home matches while they have won only one of their last four matches across all competitions. 

On the road, the Reds failed to win four successive PL matches before back-to-back victories at Sheffield United and Crystal Palace in their two most recent away fixtures. It is worth noting that Liverpool have only managed to win eight of 21 away PL games in 2023, while they have kept just six clean sheets in their last 30 on their travels in the Premier League. 

A tough one to call with Burnley boosted by their weekend win, I expect Liverpool to emerge on top in a high-scoring contest where BTTS also looks a good option. Over 2.5 goals also seems likely so I'm taking all three selections on Tuesday.
