Dimitrios Goutas, sponsored by MightyTips, was jubilant in defence as Cardiff went on to win 2-0 against Bristol City. Lewis Travis missed out on Blackburn’s 1-0 loss with a calf injury, and Jacob Chapman was not in the squad in Huddersfield’s 4-1 collapse in Leeds. Liam Palmer was omitted by the new Sheffield Wednesday manager Danny Röhl.
Another win for Cardiff City with the ever-present Dimitrios Goutas in the heart of their defence. A fairly equal match was an end-to-end affair with the visitors sometimes getting rather unlucky. Goutas bagged himself a clean sheet with a stellar performance.
With a goal from Perry Ng in the 33rd minute and another added in the 90th minute by the substitute Rubin Colwill, Cardiff build on their earlier win and climb to the 5th spot.

Lewis Travis was absent due to a calf injury in Blackburn Rovers’ loss to Welsh visitors Swansea. Blackburn were disappointing against Swansea despite having 59% of possession and 20 shots taken, seven of them on goal.
A lone goal from Swansea’s Liam Cullen in the 28th minute was enough to sink Blackburn as they stumble to 12th place in the table despite flirting with a move further up the table recently, with a three-win streak coming to an end.

Jacob Chapman was once again not in the team for Huddersfield Town as they paid Leeds United a visit. Absolute domination from the hosts recording 73% possession.
Daniel James opened the scoring for Leeds, and they added three more before the half-time. Helik came with Huddersfield’s consolation goal that did little to sway the game. Huddersfield now sit just above the relegation zone in 21st.

Liam Palmer did not appear as the Wednesday picked up a possible inspiration to lift themselves from the rock bottom of the EFL Championship. 58% possession indicates a decent game played, as well as a four shots on target compared to Rotherham’s terrible 0.
Sheffield Wednesday finally pick up points once more and take their tally to six, which is still not enough to climb above QPR, who sit two points above, although deep in the relegation zone too.

Dimitrios Goutas’ Cardiff City will hope to continue good form as they travel to Stoke City on the 4th November. Blackburn Rovers have a game midweek on the 1st November against Chelsea in the EFL Cup, althoug Lewis Travis will likely still be out. Huddersfield have a tough match on the 4th November against Watford, with Jacob Chapman being available for selection.
Sheffield Wednesday are faced with a tough task of heading down to Bristol City. This game will provide another great opportunity to pick up points, but only with hard work. We hope to see Liam Palmer back in the squad on the 4th November.
